Brandon Filson

Brandon is the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Angel Oak Mortgage REIT, Inc. and is responsible for the oversight of the firm’s finance and accounting activities.

Brandon has over 15 years of experience in accounting and financial roles. Prior to joining Angel Oak, Brandon was the Vice President and Real Estate Controller of iStar Inc. (NYSE: STAR) and Safehold Inc. (NYSE: SAFE), formerly Safety, Income and Growth, Inc., both publicly traded REITs, from April 2013 to April 2018. Brandon also worked in the financial services assurance practices of Grant Thornton LLP from January 2008 to April 2013 and of KPMG LLP from July 2006 to January 2008.

Brandon holds a Masters of Accounting degree and a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia. Brandon is a Certified Public Accountant.
