David Gordon

David has served as Corporate Secretary of Angel Oak Mortgage REIT, Inc. since March 2023. David also serves as Chief Legal Officer – Private Strategies for Angel Oak Capital focusing on Private Strategies.

David has spent the majority of his career representing financial institutions as both in-house and outside counsel and has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies as outside litigation counsel.  David has extensive experience in consumer finance and whole loan transactions (specifically with non-QM and RMBS), as well as corporate governance, insolvency, and employment related matters.

David holds a B.B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and earned a J.D. and Transaction Law and Skills certificate from Emory University’s School of Law.
